For Force Crush, you'll need to click the ability button, then select a target, and Vader will have to get within range before the ability actually fires. His other ability, called Force Crush, will destroy a single enemy vehicle. This immediately kills any enemy infantry unit within a radius around him, and it's immediate. For example, Darth Vader has an ability called Force Push. You'll probably need to use an ability a couple times to fully understand how it functions. This is sometimes unwanted, so make sure you know which units are activating them. Hovering the cursor over these boxes describes what the ability does, and clicking the box tells every unit in that group to activate it. When you have a unit or group selected, you'll see little buttons at the top of their boxes in the command bar. Most are offensive in nature, but some are defensive. These special abilities are usually quite powerful, and downright table-turning in the heroes' cases. All units, whether space-based or land-based, have at least one special ability some, like heroes, have more.
